so some stockings were needed to keep this little person warm!
The install was a bit rushed - mid-morning outside a Midland Gate Shopping Centre and Midland Junction Arts Centre - so the stockings got pulled a little, but I didn't have time to re-do them. I got sprung, and told that one of the (many) other metal public art 'people' around Midland could do with a beanie! I have a feeling a beanie would be pinched pretty quickly!! But might give it a go.
I have also decided to have a go at some more regular blogging, in the form of a 'Sunday Stitch' segment, linking to favourite textile artists and pieces. I am also hoping to blog one other day every week about what project I am up to, to keep me on my toes, and creating!!
Over and out,
your faithful captain xx
The Missus and I will be in Midland on Monday arvo....We'll go and check out her warm legs then. :)

Hi Captain Plaknit!
ReplyDeleteI'm giving a talk at the Wanneroo Art N About Markets this Sunday (4th July) about contemporary uses of crochet and I'm planning to show a few pics from your blog when I talk about yarn bombing. Just checking in that that's okay with you. The seminar is from 12:30-1pm at the Wanneroo Library and Cultural centre.
Cheers,
Granny Funk.
