A little belated . . .
. . . but time to share our celebration of International Yarn-Bombing Day 2011! Very early on the morning of Saturday 11 June, 4 keen yarn-bombers crept into the cold streets of Perth. We installed yarn tags at 6 different locations - I think we worked out it was over 30 individual tags in total! It was exhilarating!! Remembering the love and the laughs D, N & N! We finished up about 8.30am and headed into our favourite organic cafe for the best breakfast ever - thank you Source!

Love the tree! Maybe Im missing something but i dont understand the sign that says "still sorry"....

thanks! the lovely friend of mine who made the 'still sorry' tag did so for our indigenous australians, aboriginal people (it is stitched in the colours of their flag). a few years ago our government formally apologised to them for the awful treatment of aboriginal people know as the stolen generation (amongst other horrendous events). australia now celebrates (commiserates?) sorry day every year, but this tag was there to reinforce that sorry on one day of the year is not good enough, we need to have those tragedies in our hearts and minds all the time. xox
